My first work at library

Yesterday was a special day for me, because I started to work the first time in the USA.
I pick up my daughter at school, drop her off at home, and went to my work at 5:00 p.m.

Mrs. Irene who is my boss and the staff of the library made me welcome together. i was a little bit nervous, because i couldn't understand totally. Somtimes i pretended to understand their talks and then i just guessed meaning of the conversation. It was not easy, not difficult.

First of all, a staff informed me how to sign in and out on my atttendence card, he gave me a rocker that i can put my bag, and I practiced to arrange 50 cards in order of call numbers. It was perfect. They were so satisfied about me.

Next, an other staff who loves library showed me into rooms of NCC library, taught me how to work. There were circulation and periodicals, reserve and reference(first floor), media and books A-N (second floor) and books P-Z (third floor).

I was a little tired but I felt proud of myself.

You should feel proud of yourself! Remember, it's OK to ask questions. Even if English were your first language, you'd have questions at the beginning of a new job. No one will think you're stupid if you ask. Do you know which part of the library you'll be assigned to? Keep us informed of your working adventures!
