Hi, everybody, how was weekend?
I'm very tired, because I also spent a busy weekend.
I'll tell you the extra things that you didn't hear in class today.
On saturday I went to Korean School of Long island as you told you. I didn't want to teach Korean yet, but I want my daughter to practice Korean language, because she is getting forget Korean instead of having adapted very well in American life style.
She worked as a volunteer who assists a teacher in pre-school class. She was very satisfied and interested to be a volunteer.
September 14th was the Korean Thanksgiving day that comes on lunar August 15th every year.
It is a big holiday that have 4-5 consecutive holidays. All of a family, relatives usually gather together, enjoy traditional food and play traditional games. I called my husband, my son, my mother-in-law and my sisters. I also talked with my best friends for a long time.
I am missing the beautiful full moon and my family.
Hopely I expect to see all of them in winter vacation.

What a great idea for your daughter to assist in a Korean school! She'll be using her Korean without feeling like she's in class herself. You're a smart mother.
I'm sorry you had to be away from Korea during an important holiday. You should have told us last week in class that you were going to celebrate a holiday, and we could have at least wished you a happy holiday. Happy Belated Thanksgiving!
Thank you so much for your kindness!
Frankly speaking, I enjoyed my own freedom to the full this holiday.
Because I have laborious memories about every holiday-Chuseok.
You know it is really difficult for women to be a practical housewife in holidays. What is worse, I had a job. I'll also stick to learning English and taking care of my daughter.
I understand totally! I am in charge of preparing for every Jewish and American holiday. There is no one else in my family who can. I love these holidays, but I'm beginning to dread them because of all the work I have to do to celebrate them. Maybe I should move to another country like you did!
